Manchester United Transfer News Preview
One of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s top priorities upon assuming control at Manchester United was to hire the most qualified individuals for senior positions. Omar Berrada is set to begin his role as the new CEO, while Dan Ashworth, the sporting director, and Jason Wilcox, the technical director, are already in their positions.
Christopher Vivell has recently joined the team temporarily, taking on the role of the club’s director of global talent. With key positions filled and Erik ten Hag retained, United is fully committed to revamping an underperforming squad.
During this Transfer Window, INEOS is making a strong push for There is currently a flurry of activity, as four highly sought-after players are being pursued for a combined sum of approximately £165 million. The players in question are Jarrad Branthwaite, Matthijs De Ligt, Manuel Ugarte, and Joshua Zirkzee.
It has been reported that personal terms have been agreed upon between Man Utd, De Ligt, and Zirkzee. Bayern Munich is expecting a fee of approximately €50 million (excluding additional payments) for De Ligt’s transfer.

On the other hand, Zirkzee’s move from Bologna can be secured by triggering his release clause of €40 million or £34 million. There are ongoing discussions between Manchester United and Bologna regarding the terms of the deal.
There is a possibility of bypassing the clause and reaching a negotiated agreement, which is valued at £34m. By doing this, it would ensure that United avoids paying the full fee all at once. And as those two deals are quickly nearing completion, Man Utd has also made significant progress with Branthwaite and Ugarte.
In the latest news, there has been an improved second bid from Man Utd for Everton centre-back Branthwaite. Their initial offer amounted to £43m, with £35m upfront and an additional £8m in potential add-ons.
The new deal is valued at £50m, with £45m guaranteed and an additional £5m in potential add-ons. Regrettably for United, their increased offer had little chance of being accepted and was promptly turned down.
Everton is standing firm on their asking price of £70 million, citing the recent transfers of Wesley Fofana to Chelsea and Josko Gvardiol to Manchester City as comparable examples. Both players were transferred for over £70 million.

It remains to be seen if Man Utd will come back with an even higher third offer. United have made it clear that they will not pay more than what they believe Branthwaite is worth. In other news, reports are coming out of France that suggest Manchester United have made a substantial offer of £38 million, along with additional incentives, for the talented PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
The 23-year-old Uruguayan is seen as the potential replacement for Casemiro, who is currently in negotiations for a move to the Saudi Pro League. Ugarte is considering a move to Manchester United, and the final call on whether to transfer the defensive midfielder rests with PSG manager Luis Enrique.
It is believed that PSG has placed a price tag of approximately €60–£51 million on Ugarte. If Man Utd can secure agreements on their terms, the quadruple signings of Branthwaite, De Ligt, Ugarte, and Zirkzee would come at a combined cost of around £165 million.
It appears that acquiring Branthwaite will require a significant investment, potentially exceeding £50 million. United might need to increase their offer if their bid of £38 million for Ugarte is not accepted. To maintain financial stability, it is anticipated that United will need to make a number of sales.
Donny van de Beek is set to make a move to Girona in a deal that offers enticing incentives. Marseille has made a substantial £27 million offer for Mason Greenwood, indicating that the 22-year-old’s departure is progressing.
In other news, there are ongoing discussions about the potential transfers of Harry Maguire, Casemiro, and Jadon Sancho. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Scott McTominay have also caught the attention of potential suitors.
