How will Germany Lineup At Euro 24? Preview

Germany is a strong contender to win the upcoming 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, given that they have the advantage of being the hosts of the tournament. The players must put an end to the disappointing performances of Die Mannschaft in major international tournaments like the FIFA World Cup and the Euros.

Being the host nation, the German national team will have a slight edge over other competitors. However, this also means there is added pressure to perform. Upon analysing the squad chosen by Julian Nagelsmann, the former FC Bayern Munich and current German men’s national team manager, it is evident that the team possesses a remarkable blend of seasoned expertise and youthful energy.

Several players in the German squad, including Florian Wirtz and Toni Kroos, have had a highly successful season with their clubs. They will be eager to recreate those impressive displays on the global platform and achieve an unprecedented fourth European championship.

Given the immense importance of the upcoming match, let’s take a closer look at how Nagelsmann plans to assemble the team representing the host nation in their quest for ultimate victory.

Now let’s look at the Germany Team News for Euro 2024:-

Below is Germany’s Official Euro Squad:

Naglesmann has made some significant decisions leading up to the tournament, particularly regarding Hummels. After a standout display against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-finals, the Borussia Dortmund defender has been excluded from the team due to concerns about his attitude towards being a substitute.

This decision comes just a week after his match-winning performance. There were some concerns raised about Leon Goretzka, as well as Julian Brandt and Karim Adeyemi who unfortunately didn’t make it. Unfortunately, Serge Gnabry will be unable to play due to a hamstring injury.

For quite some time now, Germany has been missing a top-tier striker who can truly make a difference on the world stage. As the Euros approach, it seems that Niclas Fullkrug will be entrusted with the task of leading the forward line.

Despite Thomas Muller’s inclusion in the squad, Fullkrug has been given the nod over him in recent training camps. Kai Havertz may be a strong contender, as his recent performances for Arsenal have shown significant improvement.

There is some debate about his best position, and Nagelsmann may lean towards a more traditional striker in the centre. Nagelsmann is still in the process of determining his optimal formation. He opted for a back-three formation during the match against Austria in November but later experimented with a 4-2-2-2 setup similar to Red Bull’s style in a loss to Turkey.

In March, however, a 4-2-3-1 formation proved to be highly effective. Kroos and Andrich formed a dynamic midfield partnership, creating space for a thrilling attacking trio to wreak havoc behind Fullkrug. It seems like Nagelsmann might have his preferred team by June.
