Which Manager is Next for Chelsea? Preview

Despite a season marked by many setbacks, Pochettino guided his young team to the Carabao Cup final, clinched European football with a sixth-place finish, and concluded the Premier League season with five straight victories. Chelsea had placed 12th at the previous season’s end.

Aside from Sebastiano Pochettino, Miguel d’Agostino, Toni Jiménez, and Jesús Pérez, these individuals were part of Pochettino’s backroom team. Chelsea has been searching for a permanent manager for the last two years as a result of this development.

Having mostly his youthful team behind him, Pochettino appeared to have brought some stability. Following a strong season finale, Chelsea won European football. Before the season-ending evaluation, however, Chelsea expressed misgivings about Pochettino’s strategies, with a reliable source referring to his training regimen in private as “antiquated.”

There would be no more delegation of signing authority to Pochettino. His one-season stint with Chelsea is unlikely to have damaged his image because he finished the season with five straight victories, guaranteeing him a spot in Europe at Stamford Bridge the following year.

After opting to break ways with Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea is searching for a new manager. “I am grateful to the Chelsea ownership group and Sporting Directors for giving me the chance to be a part of this football club’s history,” Pochettino stated. The team is currently in a strong position to continue growing in the upcoming years in both the Premier League and Europe.”

Chelsea has lost out on Arne Slot, who is moving from Feyenoord to Liverpool, and Julen Lopetegui, who is taking over for David Moyes at West Ham, as a result of delaying the decision till the conclusion of the season.

Ruben Amorim, the manager of Sporting, and Kieran McKenna of Ipswich Town are two managers whom Chelsea has already been connected to. According to the Daily Telegraph, the Blues are also rumoured to be interested in Stuttgart manager Sebastian Hoeness, Girona manager Michel, and Leicester City’s Enzo Maresca.

According to Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg, former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel and former Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi are more possibilities.
